I did a study analysis of my past, What over the years I lived as a child in Morocco with my family, in the customs of my culture, in the daily days spent in my home, in the ancestral feasts and faith concepts of my religion. The installation Radici consists of two pivotal elements: the carpet and the door. The carpet is an invitation to welcome as it is a means that welcomes people to share meals, daily moments of a day but also sharing religious rituals, and ancestral festivals.

The carpet is made entirely and handcrafted with flour, with tools created specifically, taking up the customs of the past, going on a journey through time, an element that has retained its importance at the cultural level and religious.

The door, goes to resume the concept of reception and will make from Mihrab, important element in the Arab mosques, oriented towards the Qibla, the direction of the mecca.

An integral part of the Radici project, a video installation curated by Carlos Casas at Fabrica researchcentre - a conceptual element aimed at showing and demonstrating to the public the fragility of thecarpet constructed with coloured flour.

Tawaf, an act of devotion in which he turns anti-clockwise seven times around the Kaaba, during the first day of Haji (pilgrimage to Mecca). In my performance I wanted to recall this act. The goal of this performance is the change that follows. This transformation in becoming is a further reference to the passage of time and how it can consume and break the memories, culture and art of a country.
